Parent Letter example :)
January 15, 2018
Dear Families,
We
have been having a busy year so far with all of our wonderful 3 and 4 year olds
in our classroom. We continue making
friends, working on strategies learn how to share, encouraging the students to
make good choices, practicing cutting properly with scissors, and helping them
learn about our classroom schedule. It
is important to make our expectations clear to our children and give them lots
or friendly reminders.
Thank you to all of you for helping your special someone
get off to a great school year start.
Please continue to send back any additional items such as: Intake Checklist, supplies, blanket for nap, updated
contact information, or conference preferred times. Below are some fun games you can play at home
to practice the skills we are doing in the classroom.
·
Play board games with your child. Please give them lots of encouragement for
taking turns, counting, and sharing the game pieces.
·
Please thank and praise your child makes a
good choice, for example: When they are
kind to someone, they share food or toys, He/she waits patiently, or you hear
them use their manners.
·
Any practice with scissors and safety at home
is helpful.
o
Reposition them with thumbs up and one hand
guiding/one hand cutting
o
Encourage them, use your hands over theirs to
guide their work, & reposition as needed.
Ask
your child about the books, songs, and silly games we play at circle time. Please contact me with any questions. My contact information is below. Thank you for all you do to make this year
fantastic for your child. I appreciate
you! J
Be
blessed,
Mrs. Denny J
