Dear Families,

            I am very excited to meet both you and your child during your screening appointments August 18^th & 19th! J  I thought I’d start off telling you a few things about myself.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in 2010 at Ohio University in Early Childhood Education.  I love to teach & to get kids excited about learning!  My main role had been a General Education Lead Teacher.  I now serve as an Itinerant Teacher, since I earned my Intervention Specialist License. 

I love spending time with family, friends, & pets.  My husband Matt and I have 4 fantastic young adults.  I enjoy biking, walking, swimming, water safety, & anything that includes being active with nature.  I feel recycling & caring for our environment is super important, therefore I plan to incorporate these things into my lessons & classroom.  I enjoy reading, church activities, & trying new activities like zip-lining.  I am open to you sharing your talents in our classroom, so just ask.

I plan on having an extremely fun and successful year!  In order to accomplish this goal I want you to communicate your thoughts to me throughout the school year.  It is important that we are a team!  Please send a backpack, supplies, & review your child’s work each night.  As we respond to each other’s notes promptly your child will see the most success. J  One goal is that they will be self-sufficient to insure they are ready for their next school adventure.  Please complete the parent checklist, because you are the expert on your child.  I think we will make a great team! J
