A good strategy for a classroom is always using a picture chart, even if an Individualized Education Program (IEP) does not ask for one to be present in your classroom.
This could be a good number recognition one-on-one activity if needed. The students will then have it to work and self-correct. I would laminate it for the children that need extra practice. Sending a set home is a good idea too. :)
